Hallowe'en 2012: Royalty Costume Round-up

This year's jumping off point for Hallowe'en was knights and princes(ses). And after much waiting for better weather and lighting, I finally have some decent pictures of the costumes in action.

It started with the medieval knight/prince costume.

Continued on with HRH, the Princess of the Autumnal Woods.

And finished with the King and Queen.

Thank you to Warren for taking these last two shots. They're awesome.

All the kids' costumes performed well - that is, they've stood up to rough play, can be put on by the children without help and provide the necessary warmth (or can be worn over winter coats).

Here's the round-up of all the links/tutorials:

  1. Felt and cardboard sword
  2. Felt and cardboard shield
  3. Knight's tunic
  4. Autumnal Princess Dress
  5. Felt Princess Headband

and stay tuned for Fit for a Queen...

  1. You made ALL these costumes? They are awesome! So, you're the overachieving type, eh? ;)

Oh, and your kids are too stinking adorable for words.

    1. Thanks Marta! I'd say I'm sloppy, procrastinating overachiever who is driven to make good on my promises by my tyrannical children ;)
